London Metropolitan University

The London Metropolitan University or better known as London Met was created in 2002 when London Guildhall University and the University of North London amalgamated. The origins of the university date back to 1848 when London Guildhall University was formed. The university has approximately 28,500 students and approximately 21,000 of these are studying on a undergraduate degree course.

As you can image when the 2 universities merged they buildings were located in different parts of the city. Therefore the Metropolitan University has the City Campus (former London Guildhall University) near Aldgate East and the North Campus (former University of North London) in the Islington district of London.
